The Sustainable Pickering logo was designed to represent our values and symbolize the quality of life of a sustainable city. The colour green stands for the foundation of those values – our respect for the environment. The blue indicates not only our position as a lakefront community, but also our plans for healthy watershed and the “blue-ribbon” companies that choose to locate in Pickering. Yellow, the colour of the sun and of optimism, represents our continuing journey towards becoming a complete and healthy community in which all feel welcome. Together, these colours express our hopes for the future of our city.
