Sustainable Development Guidelines
In October 2009, Pickering Council approved a resolution requiring (with some minor exceptions) that all new development meet at least a rating of "Level 1” in relation to the City's Sustainable Development Guidelines. These Guidelines were received by Council in June 2007 and direction was given at that time to use them in all future planning.
